Why do you think teachers teach?

I want to be a teacher because teaching children is what my passion is.  Children are our future and we need to teach them as much as we can to help them be successful in the future.  I chose to be a Special Education teacher because of my older sister that was born brain damaged and then a high school classmate that had special needs.  Even special children need our help to grow.  When you look at this picture, you can see the enjoyment that the teacher has to teach her students.  This is one of the reason why I teach.  Discuss why you want to teach.

21st Century

I posted this to help people understand the new 21st Century program.  This new program is something that is important for the education department.  Parents and teachers need to be aware on what the new guidelines and goals for children are, which this video should show you some information about the 21st Century program.  Please make comments on what you think about this new program and let me know your thoughts in if we should follow it or not.

The site above is a video about Smartboards.  Smartboards are important for teachers in their classrooms.  Throughout my lessons I use a Smartboads with my students.  My students are also allowed, when called on, to touch the board in answering questions.  Smartboards have many ways for my students to learn information and to help them understand things that we cannot afford. 

Thoughts on Distance Teaching

Distance teaching is always a possibility.  Schools sometimes cannot afford to have another staff member at their school, so instead they have distance classes.  Distance classrooms help students be able to take classes that are required or classes that they are interested in.  Some school only have one kind of class provided, such as Spanish, and students want to take French instead and so they can take a distance class instead.  This helps students a lot.  What do you think about distance teaching?
